Monster Paradox - Play rules / Instructions

General Instructions

  1. This is a 4-player game. If there are more than 4 players, purchase another pack and mix the cards to accommodate everyone.
  2. Shuffle and distribute the cards so that each player receives a maximum of 5 cards.
  3. Any remaining cards are placed in the middle to form a common pile.
  4. Each player has their own separate collecting pile, where they keep the cards they win during the game.
  5. The game begins when a player (all players) can either draw a card from the common pile or start a battle by placing any one card face down in the middle.
  6. Once everyone has placed their cards, they are flipped over to reveal the army warriors or soldiers.
  7. Players compare their cards, and the player with the highest attack points (including the power cards) wins the round, taking all the cards and adding them to their collecting pile.
  8. For the next round, players have the option to either initiate another battle or draw cards from the common pile until a player calls for battle. Once a player calls for battle, all other players are required to participate.
  9. During a battle, if two or more players have equal attack points, they engage in one-on-one battle, while players with lower attack points must wait until a winner emerges from the battle.
  10. Other players must wait for the battle to conclude. The players involved in the battle continue to fight in the same manner to determine the player with the highest attack points.
  11. The winner of the battle can collect the cards from all players and add them to their collecting pile.
  12. Continue playing until the cards in both the common pile and players' hands are depleted.
  13. The winner of the game/war is the player with the highest number of cards in their collecting pile.

Power cards:

  • Arcane stone - Hide your card and attack on the next turn: When a player (Player 1) uses the Arcane Stone card for attack and wins the battle, they can activate its power. The Arcane Stone power allows Player 1 to keep the card closed during the next battle while others flip their cards open. Player 1 can then announce the card name and its score. If Player 1 claims to have a higher attack point than others, other players have the option to either give up their cards or call for an "Arcane reveal" (verbally declaring it).

  • During an Arcane reveal, Player 1 can flip their closed card open and reveal it to others. If the revealed card matches what Player 1 announced, they can take 2 cards from the collection pile of the player who called for the "Arcane reveal". However, if the revealed card differs from what Player 1 claimed, the player who initiated the "Arcane reveal" can take 2 cards from Player 1's collecting pile.

*Note : Other special cards power and their rules will be included soon.
