Monster Paradox: ( story )
Monsters and humans coexist in a small village called Meso, which belongs to the Otoa kingdom. They live harmoniously together. However, there are a few groups of monsters who oppose this coexistence and prefer to have a separate village for their species. The leader of this anti-coexistence group is Angosto, an Insular monster.
One day, Angosto encounters a dark wizard with the ability to wield dark magic. They decide to collaborate and assist the wizard in acquiring the powerful Panacea Stone, which has the ability to heal wounds and cure diseases. The dark wizard seeks the stone to save his apprentice, who has fallen ill due to an unknown source. Angosto takes advantage of the situation and falsely tells the wizard that the humans from Meso village are responsible for his apprentice's ailment.
Enraged, the dark wizard heads to the village to curse the inhabitants. Along the way, he enlists the help of a feral soldier named Danglee. In the village, the dark wizard searches for the person he believes poisoned his apprentice. After a thorough search, he curses the person, turning them into an Indolent soldier.
Upon learning of the curse, the Otoa kingdom's king sends his army to apprehend the dark wizard. The dark wizard seeks refuge in the neighboring Palasito kingdom and forms an alliance with them. A violent conflict erupts between the two kingdoms' soldiers, causing significant damage to the city and suffering for the people.
The Palasito king dispatches a group of warriors and monsters to disrupt the livelihood of the Otoa kingdom. They freeze the water supply and divert it to another village, leading to chaos in Meso. A group of Amiable soldiers from the Gargodon kingdom witnesses this act.
With the village in turmoil and people searching for answers, Angosto convinces the Amiable soldiers to join his cause, blaming humans for the water shortage. Despite human protests, they switch sides and perform a secret extractor ritual to uncover the truth. In response, the dark wizard provides them with the Clandestine Stone to safeguard the secret.
The king calls upon the Garrulous soldier Saru to negotiate with Angosto, and they summon a white wizard to extract the truth. However, the white wizard's Debase spell fails to reveal the complete truth due to the Clandestine Stone's protection. Chaos ensues as one group of monsters attacks the villagers, causing them to retaliate with powerful weapons.
The situation escalates, but the white wizard intervenes using the Appease spell to restore peace. Both groups remain suspicious of each other, and Angosto employs the Quisling monster Qasi to infiltrate the humans and gather crucial information.
Simultaneously, the Otoa king enlists the Erudite Monster Eolas to uncover Angosto's plan and invites the Maverick Warrior Madax to join. Their team includes Incisive Monster Ostar, Lithe soldier Nezimo, and Alacrity soldier Sudu. They set out for the Palasito kingdom to locate the hidden cave and gather information. Along the way, they encounter a Maudlin monster named Toska, who informs them that her friend Voso, a Myriad Monster, has been kidnapped by a Raka monster.
Eolas promises to rescue Voso in exchange for information and asks Toska to infiltrate the Angosto monsters' hidden cave. Eolas saves Voso and returns to find Toska, who provides details about the plan. They plan to meet at the Korero village.
Eolas and his team continue their journey to the Walking Forest, where they encounter an Artless soldier named Rudio searching for his pet monster. He reveals that the Blue wizard's army attacked the forest in an attempt to capture a warrior. Eolas proposes that they join forces, and they set out to confront the Blue wizard.
They arrive at the village and discover that the Red wizard has manipulated the monsters. Eolas strikes a deal with the villagers, promising to free them from the wizard's control in exchange for their assistance in fighting Angosto's army. The villagers agree, and Eolas and his team confront the Red wizard and his associates, Hubris Monster "OZEO" and Sybarite soldier "SABU."
Eolas and his team launch an attack, and the Green wizard employs the Abrogate spell to neutralize the monsters. Eolas faces the Red wizard, but he is protected by a magical shield. Madax joins the fight and assists in removing the protection spell, allowing Eolas to apprehend the Red wizard.
The villagers are freed from the Red wizard's influence, and they agree to support Eolas in the battle against Angosto's army. Eolas inquires about Madax's whereabouts from the villagers, and they mention that he has gone to the Walking Forest for unknown reasons.
Eolas and the team head to the Walking Forest and meet Rudio, who shares that Blue wizard's army attacked the forest to capture a warrior. Eolas decides to rescue Madax and offers Rudio the opportunity to join them.
They find the Walking Forest in ruins, and it becomes apparent that Madax is in trouble. They confront the Blue wizard's army and engage in battle, but they discover that all the warriors in the forest have been killed. Qasi, who had infiltrated the humans, informs Angosto about the trident and the Death Knell instrument, both of which Angosto plans to acquire to gain ultimate power.
Angosto's forces prepare for an attack on the Otoa kingdom, promising rewards to those who join them. Meanwhile, Toska, Sudu, and Voso, who had been spying on Angosto, rush to Korero village to inform Eolas about the plan.
In Otoa, Angosto's group infiltrates the village, causing panic and destruction. The king orders his army to retaliate, but the monsters are searching for magical stones and items that support magic. They enter the barracks and successfully seize the Death Knell instrument, but the trident remains protected by a powerful shield.
Eolas and his team arrive and fight the monsters, protecting the villagers. The dark wizard seeks to acquire the trident and attacks the king, but Madax intervenes, rescuing the king. Madax then joins the fight against Sutaz and Oradd.
The dark wizard manages to break the shield guarding the trident but is interrupted by Eolas, who engages in a fierce battle. The dark wizard uses dark magic to communicate with his dark master to understand how to use the trident effectively. He learns that the trident requires the Panacea Stone, the Serendipity Stone, the Death Knell instrument, and the Appease spell to unleash its full power.
The dark wizard also discovers that the only person who knows the Appease spell is the white wizard. He confronts the white wizard, resulting in a battle that ends with the white wizard's defeat. The dark wizard uses the Coerce spell to extract information about the Appease spell but fails to obtain it.
Eolas arrives to rescue the white wizard and goes inside the castle. The dark wizard is puzzled by his inability to access the information. His dark master explains that the Arcane Stone is being used to protect the secret, making it impenetrable to any magic or spell.
Without any other choice, the dark wizard uses the Death Knell to weaken the king's army. He enlists his apprentice to prepare for its use. In the midst of this chaos, Eolas, the white wizard, and Madax are locked in a cage.
The white wizard uses the Abrogate spell to restore their strength, and Eolas retrieves the Sword of Veleria from the king. He is the only one capable of wielding the trident, as only one other person, Madax, has been able to do so. Eolas engages the dark wizard's forces in a battle.
Madax reveals his ability to lift the sword, but he hands it back to Eolas. The dark wizard attempts to regain the trident, but Madax distracts the enemy forces. Madax secures the trident and the Death Knell instrument. He already possesses the Serendipity Stone and the knowledge of the Appease spell, learned from a blue wizard in the forest.
Madax needs the Panacea Stone to activate the trident and retrieves it from the healer. He successfully activates the trident, which unleashes a powerful wave of energy, defeating the dark wizard and his army. The dark wizard and his followers are imprisoned in a dark, magic-nullifying prison.
With peace restored, Madax separates the trident and returns it to the king. Madax declines the king's offer to stay in the kingdom and departs, but he promises to return if darkness threatens again. The kingdom and villages are restored to their previous harmony.
